Dept. Hits Dead End in Suspicious Rio Grande City Fire Investigations
RIO GRANDE CITY – Caution tape is still up at the scene of two suspicious fires in Rio Grande City weeks after flames tore through the buildings.
Fire Chief Ricardo Reyes said the investigation has reached a dead end.
He said the fires destroyed the majority of the evidence making it harder to pinpoint where the flames broke out.
Investigators went door to door trying to see if neighbors saw anything suspicious.
So far, there haven’t been any leads.
Reyes asks anyone in the community with information to come forward.
