Free PRC and rapid testing is happening at three locations in Brownsville on Thursday. 

The Cameron County Emergency Management & Fire Marshal Service will hold a COVID-19 testing site at the Southmost branch of the Brownsville Public Library from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at 4320 Southmost Road in Brownsville. Testing is free, and appointments and IDs are not required.

COVID-19 drive thru testing is also available at:

  • Commissioner Sofia Benavidez Precinct 1 Warehouse located at 205 S. Browne Avenue from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Free PCR and Rapid testing is available. No appointment is needed, but an ID is required. 
  • 795 Paredes Ln Road in Brownsville from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Testing is free.
