CON MI GENTE: Valley Artist’s Work is Out of This World
HARLINGEN – Finding ways to leave your mark in space.
That’s what one Rio Grande Valley man did. His fingerprints can be found on the moon.
You can definitely say Dennis Dubose’s artwork is out of this world.
He’s the owner of Dubose Signs in Harlingen and for the past 29 years he’s had a contract with United Launch Alliance, a company that makes components for rockets that carry satellites into space.
“I paint their logos on the Atlas 500 Series, the 400 meter logo. And it’s ribbed. They can’t put vinyl on it, so it has to be hand lettered,” said Dubose.
He still has several more he’s scheduled to paint. Each one by hand.
