EDINBURG - It was a celebration fit for three communities.

The cities of Pharr, San Juan and Alamo came together in honor of the school district that's served them for decades.

It started at the Bert Ogden Arena; close to 5,000 Pharr-San Juan-Alamo staff arrived for a giant kick-off.

Retiring Superintendent, Dr. Daniel King, got a standing ovation.

"Thank you for helping to bring the first 100-years to a close on such a positive note," said Dr. King.
