OLMITO – It started as a small dream but turned into a state sanctioned event.
Organizers held the first Olmitofest; it's a fundraiser with a special meaning for community members.
"My granddaughter, about a year-and-a-half ago, got sick. She got flown out to San Antonio. She was out there four months in intensive care. Ronald McDonald House opened their doors to us. For my granddaughter and my daughter," Lorenzo Lozano said.
Proceeds from the Olmitofest are divided between the Ronald McDonald House in Harlingen and San Antonio.
