SOUTH PADRE ISLAND – It’s the first of its kind for the Valley, a food festival with a twist.

It's the first annual South Padre Island Food Truck Festival.

By their count there are some 30 food trucks in attendance.

"They're coming from McAllen, Harlingen, Corpus Christi… from all around South Texas," says festival organizer John Garcia.

Other vendors were offering a variety of items, making the visit even more interesting.

There were other types of entertainment for the family, plus a friendly tour of a police car.
