MISSION - A Rio Grande Valley woman says she saw babies born to poor families leaving the hospital with few possessions, so she decided to step up to help.
Belinda Gonzalez is a certified nursing assistant at Mission Regional Medical Center.
"I had a family who did not have any clothes for the baby. And what was I doing? I was asking my daughter or my sister to go and buy me clothes for the babies," she says.
Then, "Belinda's Closet" was born, so she started asking for donations.
"We welcome any slightly used, gently used clothes, new clothes; anything that you have you’re welcome to bring it by," says Gonzalez.
Belinda Gonzalez saw a need and she made it happen.
