Commander Discusses Process of Fallen Soldiers’ Dignified Transfer
BROWNSVILLE – The body of Pfc. Miguel Villalon returned to the U.S. at Dover Air Force Base in Delaware on Tuesday night.
The dignified transfer honors those who’ve given their lives in service of the country. Vice President Mike Pence was at the airport to greet the body of the Brownsville native.
For more than 25 years, America’s Last Patrol works to honor fallen soldiers, oftentimes escorting them to their final resting place. Commander Richard Pena says it’s a responsibly of fellow military service members – one they take seriously.
According to a family member, funeral services are set for Friday and Saturday of next week in the Rio Grande Valley.
