Cinemark Movies 6 in McAllen transitions to screening new releases
Cinemark Movies 6 in McAllen will stop showing discounted films to show new releases starting Thursday, June 15, Cinemark announced in a Wednesday news release.
The theater, located at 1800 S. 16th St., previously served as a discount theater that screened older films.
“After seeing strong demand from local moviegoers for new films, this theater now gives them even more chances to experience them right when they hit the big screen,” Cinemark stated in a news release.
The theater will open Thursday afternoon and screen this weekend’s premieres of Pixar’s “Elemental” and DC’s “The Flash,” to current hits such as “The Little Mermaid”, “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse” and “Transformers: Rise of the Beasts.”
As part of the change, Cinemark Movies 6 is now offering reserved seating, the news release stated.
