CBP Arrests Irvin Man Wanted on Sexual Abuse at Hidalgo Bridge
HIDALGO – U.S. Customs and Border Protection arrested a 54-year-old man from Irvin, Texas who was wanted on charges of sexual abuse of a child.
It happened Monday at the Hidalgo International Bridge.
They caught Jose Ismael Castillo-Rodriguez as he was returning from El Salvador.
During an inspection, CBP officers discovered “that he was a possible match to an outstanding warrant.”
It was a biometric verification that confirmed Castillo had an active arrest warrant from the Irvin Police Department for continuous sexual abuse of a child.
He is being held at the Hidalgo County Jail where he is awaiting extradition proceedings.
