Discounts on tax bills are being offered to property owners in Cameron County.
Cameron County Tax Assessor-Collector Antonio “Tony” Yzaguirre Jr. said anyone who makes a payment on their property tax bill during the month of October will get a 3% discount.
That discount drops to 2% in November, and then 1% in December.
More than 219 thousand statements were mailed last week in Cameron County.
Cameron County property owners can make a payment online or at any of the 10 offices countywide.
