MCALLEN – An off-duty Cameron County sheriff’s deputy is in custody after being accused of coercing a woman and stealing from her.
McAllen police say 25-year-old Victor Francisco Moctezuma is charged with theft and official oppression.
CHANNEL 5 NEWS was told the victim agreed to meet up with Moctezuma for masseuse services. Then he reportedly stole more than $200 from her.
She said the suspect identified himself as a law enforcement officer and threatened to arrest her.
