MCALLEN – When President Donald Trump made his visit, the owner of a historic Mexican restaurant was hopeful for another VIP visitor.
The owner of Casa Del Taco, Sergio Licon, explains former President Bill Clinton made a visit to his restaurant in February of 2000.
He further explains a former president of the Soviet Union, Mikhail Gorbachev, also visited his restaurant.
"I felt proud because we had a small restaurant and this helped us a lot so the people started paying attention to us," explains Licon.
KRGV’s Trason Bragg explains Licon is hopeful President Trump will make a visit to his restaurant next time his is in the Rio Grande Valley.
