WESLACO – Homeowners in the Rio Grande Valley say pests are emerging from floodwaters.
Insect adding to the damage left behind by the rain.
A local pest control company says calls for service have gone up by 20 percent since heavy rain fell a couple weeks ago.
The owner of the company says the moisture makes for a perfect environment for roaches, beetles and long wood-destroying mites.
KRGV’s Sierra Pizarro visited one of their client’s home. The homeowner says she also hopes to receive federal assistance to eradicate them from her home.
