Border Patrol Rescues Suspected Drug Smuggler from Drowning
Border Patrol agents seized more than 200 pounds of marijuana while rescuing a suspected drug smuggler.
Earlier this week, agents and Cameron County Sheriff's deputies attempted to stop a truck that was loaded with bundles of drugs.
The driver drove back to the river, where three people jumped into the water.
Agents noticed one of them was struggling to stay afloat, as he tried to swim back to Mexico.
An agent jumped in to rescue the man.
The man, drugs and truck were taken into custody by the Sheriff's office.
