UPDATE (7/25): The Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office said investigators have identified the victim in a homicide case out of Donna.

A man’s body was found in an orchard on Val Verde Road, south of Business 83 Sunday morning. The victim is a 17-year-old Mexican national. 

The sheriff's office is working with the Mexican Consulate to notify his family, so they are not releasing his name.

DONNA – A body found in a Donna orchard Sunday morning has not been identified.

Authorities said the body of a man, between the age of 20 and 25, was found off Val Verde Road south of Business 83.

Hidalgo County Sheriff Eddie Guerra told CHANNEL 5 NEWS someone called in to report the body before 9 a.m.
