Alamo residents can now access city services from their phones through a new app, city leaders announced.

The app is called the Alamo Citizen Engagement app, and it is free to download for iPhone and Android users.

Alamo Mayor J.R. Garza said the app is a way to modernize services.

"Your water payments, your basic services, maybe something with public works — maybe you've got some trash out there, maybe you've got to report a problem," Garza said. "As times change, so will the city."
