EDINBURG – Two people are behind bars in connection to a man’s death in Edinburg.
A woman and a man were taken into custody Wednesday night, according to Edinburg police. They will be charged with first-degree murder.
On Monday, 27-year-old Joshua David Ramirez crashed his vehicle near the Hidalgo County courthouse and was found with an apparent gunshot wound in his upper body.
Ramirez died while being transported to the hospital.
Police said he was from Massachusetts but was residing in Edinburg.
The suspects in the homicide investigation will be formally charged on Friday.
Police are not releasing any further details about the case.
