MCALLEN – Police are investigating a motorcycle accident in McAllen.

It happened Thursday afternoon on Nolana between Jackson and 10th Street.

No word on any injuries at the moment.

Traffic is currently backed up in that area.

The Texas Department of Transportation's campaign urges drivers to "Share the road: Look twice for motorcycles".

TxDot says 501 riders lost their lives in motorcycle crashes in 2017 and 2,101 were seriously injured.
