MCALLEN – It’s the end of an era in Texas and for some Rio Grande Valley workers, the end of their jobs. The last remaining Kmart store in the Valley will soon be no more.

The yellow signs are just another indication of more than 100 Sears and Kmart stores will be closing throughout the U.S. in the coming weeks, including the South 10^th Street location in McAllen.

The impact of the store closing is already being felt by some loyal local customers.
