PHARR – An incident took place this morning in Pharr that caused several students to be taken to the local hospital.

IDEA Public Schools in Pharr received reports of a foul odor on the campus Friday morning.

Students and staff evacuated the building as a precaution.

Thirteen students were transported to the hospital for evaluation after they reported they were feeling ill.

The evacuation has been lifted and students and staff are resuming with the day as scheduled, according to a statement from IDEA Public Schools.
