PEÑITAS – Authorities are investigating a fire involving a school bus in Peñitas.
On Tuesday night, the front of a La Joya Independent School District school bus sparked into flames near Expressway 83.
The school district police chief, Raul Gonzalez, told CHANNEL 5 NEWS students on their way home from a basketball game were on board when the fire started.
Gonzalez says the students were able to get out in time. No injuries are reported.
