Cristina Rendon

Cristina joined KRGV NEWSCHANNEL 5 in June 2008.

Cristina is a Valley native. She was born and raised in San Benito. She graduated from San Benito High School in 2004.

Cristina started college at St. Mary’s University in San Antonio. She then transferred to St. Edward’s University in Austin, where she graduated summa cum laude with a degree in Communication. While in college, Cristina was a writer and photographer for the university’s newspaper, The Hilltop Views. She also landed two television news internships in Austin. She was a reporting intern with KXAN Austin News and FOX 7 News.

Cristina is a member of the Lambda Pi Eta National Communication Honor Society. She enjoys dancing, reading, and spending time with close friends and family.
