Westgate Drive Reduced to Two-Lane Road Section

Lane reduction starts August 25

WESLACO - As part of ongoing street improvement projects in the City of Weslaco, Westgate Drive will be reduced to a two lane road section with single North and South Bound lanes from Business 83 to approximately 500 feet north of Pike Blvd. Panther Drive will be barricaded and close to traffic from Westgate Drive. Panther Drive may be accessed from Border.

Lane reduction will commence on August 25, 2008 and Westgate Drive will remain as a two lane street until January 2009. The patience of the driving public is greatly appreciated, Westgate Drive will be under construction and all traffic regulations pertaining to highway construction will be in effect. Please use caution while driving on Westgate Drive, safety of the driving public and the construction workers is of paramount importance.
