Andres Hernandez, a junior student at McAllen Wushu School, has become a Valley celebrity for his vast athletic ability in the martial art of Wushu.

He specializes in free hands and broadsword and is currently undergoing training of the difficult straightsword. Among his abilities are landing splits, butterlies, ariels, and balancing over one foot while the other is above his head!

Andres began his training at age seven two years ago with a nervous mind and a clumsy body, but now, he performs for numerous crowds showing them his amazing skill. He has even gone to win US Championships and Mexican Nationals, two years in a row!
