Scandal Continues
Investigation prompts county judge to forward documents, tapes to authorities
BROWNSVILLE - The Brownsville city commissioner at the center of a time sheet scandal says he has a tape recording of a political enemy threatening his job. Carlos Cisneros says the tape was made before allegations surfaced that Cisneros lied about his work hours.
A NEWSCHANNEL 5 investigation Monday revealed Cisneros' time sheets for his county job do not match his travel records as city commissioner.
Cameron County Judge Carols Cascos tells NEWSCHANNEL 5 he submitted all the evidence to authorities.
There's also a special meeting next month to address the scandal.
