Police reviewing surveillance video

SAN JUAN - A man shot over a dozen times in broad daylight asked doctor's patients for help.

The crime happened near the Iglesias Professional Plaza parking lot. Police say the victim was in his car when someone fired 15 rounds.

Men, women, and dozens of children heard the gunshots.

"Never have I seen something like this. It doesn't feel right to feel unsafe in your surroundings," says Elizabeth Cantu, who heard the gunshots.

Investigators tell us the injured, bleeding man tried to drive around the corner and stopped in the medical plaza's parking lot.

A nurse in one of the clinics there called for an ambulance.

The victim was rushed to the hospital.

Police say the shooting suspects stashed the weapons around the corner and took off.

The shooting happened near an elementary school and caused the campus to go into lockdown as a precaution.

Investigators are questioning one man about the shooting. But so far, they don't have a motive.

Police are still processing three crime scenes and taking witness statements.

They did tell us the victim will survive. His injuries are not life-threatening.

Investigators add the businesses in the plaza may be able to help them solve the crime.

Rolando Garcia of the San Juan Police Department says, "There is multiple video surveillance, so we'll get a perfect description of what happened. They're working to get it to us."
