NEW YORK (AP) - New York Mets general manager Omar Minaya has received a four-year contract through the 2012 season, with the team holding options for 2013 and 2014.
Minaya has been the team's general manager since September 2004 when he signed a five-year deal. The Mets made it to Game 7 of the National League championship series in 2006 but were eliminated from postseason contention on the last day of the regular season each of the last two years.
